They are one of two event Coordinator roles responsible for delivering VV’s competition calendar and off court events. This role also serves to support the administration of major events and competitions as part of a larger team and providing support to the Victorian Volleyball League Manager in the execution of the Victorian Volleyball League (VVL).
Working under the management of the CEO, implement the marketing and communications plan for VV, including sub-brands and event portfolios and event portfolios and all stakeholder audiences, including participants, members, local government and the broader community.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Support event preparation and administration across a series of events, including pre- and post-event equipment checks, set-up and pack down, printing, liaison with key event stakeholders, fixtures, payments, workforce management and invoicing.
Provide administrative support to the VVL including weekly preparation, scoresheet checking, team lists, athlete attendance, data entry, and VVL website maintenance as needed by the VVL Manager.
Administration support for off-court events for the VVL and Blue and White Jacket awards dinners and other events as required.
Verification of player and team eligibility across all events of responsibility.
Ensure that all relevant events and league information is accurately recorded in the database in a timely manner while treating all information in database in accordance with VV Privacy Policy.
Support marketing and promotion of events by developing content relevant to the target audience and other stakeholders for publication on various media channels.
Responsible for the execution and evaluation of VV’s marketing and communication content calendar.
Ensure our brand, our values and the sport of volleyball reach our emerging and diverse audiences, connecting the right message with the right channel at the right time to achieve organizational goals.
Responsible for overseeing the various platforms used by VV including, website, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other signage and print collateral as needed.
GENERAL DUTIES:
Equipment maintenance including storage.
General office management including maintenance, answering phones, booking meeting rooms etc.
Development, review & updating of VV’s Event Procedures & Regulations.
Support at major VV Events and activities.
Presentation to VV Board on key subject matter areas if required.
Any other duties as deemed appropriate by Management from time to time.

Key Selection Criteria
Knowledge of sporting culture, organisations, and the issues facing community sport in Australia
Demonstrated understanding of member-based organisations and member-first philosophy
Understanding of project management software and other tools will be beneficial
Demonstrated ability to effectively set priorities and deliver to deadlines
Background in Marketing/Communications, Commercial or Event delivery
Be proficient in digital content coordination through a variety of digital channels and will have a solid understanding of digital marketing principles and communication styles suitable for each medium.
High level communication skills (written and oral)
High level of organisational skills
Demonstrated ability in database management, competition software and all Microsoft office products
Proficiency in Canva or Adobe Suite
Preparedness to learn on the job
Current Working with Children Check, Victorian Driver’s License and First Aid Certificate (certification or renewal to be provided by VV)
Knowledge and understanding of volleyball will be an advantage, but not necessary
