WAIS is seeking a Sports Dietitian to join our Performance Support team on a 0.8 FTE parental leave cover through to January 2027. This role supports athletes to optimise performance through evidence based nutrition while prioritising wellbeing within a high performance environment.
Working closely with athletes, coaches and multidisciplinary support staff, you'll play an important role in delivering athlete centred nutrition strategies aligned with program objectives and WAIS' Win Well approach.

About the Role
As a Sports Dietitian, you will work closely with athletes across assigned sport programs, supporting performance outcomes through practical, evidence-based nutrition strategies. Embedded within an interdisciplinary performance support model, you’ll contribute to holistic, athlete centred care in a high-performance environment.
Your focus will be on helping athletes fuel effectively for training and competition, build understanding and confidence around nutrition and manage nutrition related health risks. You’ll collaborate with coaches and fellow performance support practitioners to align nutrition support with overall program goals, while ensuring athlete wellbeing remains central.

About You
You are a qualified and accredited Sports Dietitian who brings curiosity, professionalism and care to your practice. You enjoy working directly with athletes, communicate clearly, and value being part of a collaborative performance support team.
You’ll be well suited to this role if you:
- Are an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and Accredited Sports Dietitian (ASD)
- Have experience providing sports dietetics support in high performance environments
- Enjoy translating evidence based nutrition principles into practical, athlete friendly strategies
- Are confident identifying and managing nutrition related health risks, including disordered eating
- Work well under pressure and adapt easily to changing demands
- Value teamwork, integrity and respectful communication
- Bring a balanced approach that supports both performance outcomes and athlete wellbeing
