St Monica's College is a Catholic co-educational College (Years 7 - 12) serving the northern suburbs of Melbourne and is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS).
Our College is located on three metropolitan campuses in Epping and Reservoir and a rural campus, Ostia, in Strath Creek for spiritual retreat. Epping campuses are walking distance from each other and the Epping train station.
A vacancy exists for an experienced and passionate Senior Netball Coach to lead the strategic, operational and high-performance delivery of our Netball Academy. The is an exciting opportunity to shape athlete development pathways, drive performance outcome, and build strong partnerships across the sporting community.
The successful applicant will report to the Director of Sport.
This is a full time role commencing Monday, 13 July 2026, offered on a two-year contract.
A formal review will be conducted to consider possible re-appointment at the conclusion of the contract period.
Core duties will include:
Develop and deliver the Netball Academy's annual operational plan including:
- Performance strategy and athlete development frameworks
- Training principles, playing philosophies
- High- performance development plan within the Athlete Development Program (ADP)
- Plan the annual Academy calendar including training schedules, camps, competitions and tournaments
- Build and maintain relationships with professional, semi-professional, and community sporting organisations
- Recruit, lead and manage a team of internal and external coaches
- Oversee student selection into the ADP in collaboration with High Performance staff
- Design and deliver high-performance training programs to maximise athlete development
- Coach College teams across multiple year levels and attend training sessions (before/after school hours)
- Drive the growth and visibility of the Academy through strategic partnerships
- Maintain and update Academy content across websites, social media, and promotional platforms
- Ensure all branding and materials align with College standards
- Provide regular reporting on Academy activities and outcomes
- Support the organisation of the Annual Sports Presentation Ceremony
- Contribute to Panel of Coaches meetings.
The successful candidate will have experience and possess the following skills and qualities:
- Relevant coaching accreditation (minimum Advanced Coach Accreditation)
- Proven experience in sports program leadership or academy environments
- Strong background in high-performance athlete development
- A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive sporting culture
- Strong and effective leadership skill
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
