The AFL Specialist Sports Program teacher-coach is responsible for managing and leading teaching, learning, as well as assessment and reporting within the program.
Direct teaching and coaching of groups of students and individual students within the AFL program
Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum within the Specialist Sports AFL program.
Contributing to and leading AFL program operations, including, but not limited to School Sport Victoria and other school-based events and competitions.
Support and contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives related to learning and wellbeing, supporting student-athletes.
Support and lead, the growth and development of the AFL and AFLW programs at WHC.
Contribute to student athlete growth in both academic and athletic aspirations.
Contribute to improving student-athlete outcomes, by actively communicating and engaging with the entire AFL program community and WHC mainstream (students, teachers, parent-carers and external stakeholders).
Undertaking other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal.
Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps and excursions.
Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
