The Illawarra Hawks are currently recruiting for Intern Coaches to assist the team throughout the upcoming 2026 - 27 NBL season.
Candidates will have the opportunity to learn and develop their skills as a coach and video analyst.

Description of Role & Opportunity
This is a voluntary position with the successful candidate(s) working closely with the Assistant Coaches and Team Operations Manager to:
- Assist with setting up and packing down of all team practice sessions.
- Setting up and packing down the video and computer equipment required at all team practice sessions.
- Videotaping team practice sessions and assisting in the editing process for team/coach review.
- Assist with pre & post-practice on court workouts.
- Assist with individual player workouts and team practice sessions when required.
- Assist on game day where needed.
Essential Criteria
- Working with children check.
- Familiarity with Apple products. (Laptops and Tablets)
Desirable Criteria
- Have completed or currently completing a university degree/course.
- Current Drivers License.
The successful candidate will receive on the job training in HUDL Sportscode (video analysis software) which is used throughout all major sporting codes around the world, tickets to games, and official Hawks team apparel.
Availability
Weekly hours and internship length can be negotiated to suit your study commitments and/or placement and secular work requirements.

- Monday to Fridays: 8:30am - 1:00pm.
- General weekend availability. (weekend home games)
- General weeknight availability. (weeknight home games)
* February is the predicted end date for the NBL regular season, March is the predicted end date for the NBL finals.
