The Role
This is a production role with variety across social, content and creative. You will help keep the WNBL's channels scheduled, consistent and active, and produce the content that goes with it.
No two days look the same. You might be putting together social graphics in the morning, scheduling content across TikTok and Instagram in the afternoon, and shooting behind-the-scenes footage at an evening game. The variety is the point.
Content Production
- Edit and publish short-form video for Reels, TikToks and YouTube Shorts with a focus on pacing and on-brand presentation
- Support the team by maintaining branded templates for use across WNBL channels and the broader NBL Group.
- Track social trends to keep the WNBL's creative approach current and distinctive
- Create and produce graphics, templates and branded assets across WNBL channels
- Produce static and animated graphics for social, digital and broadcast use, maintaining visual consistency with WNBL brand guidelines
Social Media and Scheduling
- Schedule and publish content across WNBL social accounts with a focus on TikTok and Instagram, ensuring everything is formatted right for each platform
- Publish updates to the WNBL website through the CMS accurately and on time
- Produce social imagery that engages existing fans while reaching new audiences
- Work closely with the Social Media Producer and Digital Content Producer from ideation through to publish
Game Day and Events
- Produce live and reactive content during WNBL games - graphics, clips and real-time posts
- Build pre-produced game day assets: matchup graphics, result templates, stat callouts and starting five cards
- Capture behind-the-scenes and player content at games and events via phone or provided camera equipment
- Cover key WNBL events with graphic and social content planned and executed ahead of time
Who We're Looking For
You are a social media native who can also produce. You are comfortable scheduling content, covering events, and turning around reactive posts on game day, and you can put together a clean graphic or edit a short video to go with it.
You are the right fit if you:
- Have hands-on experience managing or contributing to social media accounts, ideally in sport, entertainment or media
- Understand how content performs across TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook and YouTube, and know how to format for each
- Have some experience creating graphics and short-form video to support social output
- Have working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator
- Can capture content at live events using a phone or camera and turn it around quickly
- Are organised enough to manage a content schedule and meet game day deadlines without being chased
And the non-negotiables: you have a genuine interest in women's sport and basketball. That does not mean you need a decade of experience. It means you care about the product you are working on.
