In 2027, Sydney will host the Netball World Cup, uniting 16 of the top international teams for 12 days of elite competition and global celebration. As we mark Netball Australia’s centenary, we are building a tournament that champions inclusion, empowerment, and innovation, both on and off the court.

We are seeking a dynamic and people-focused Team Services Manager to play a critical role in delivering an exceptional experience for international teams during the Netball World Cup in Sydney from 25 August to 5 September 2027.

As a key member of Tournament Operations, you will act as the primary point of contact for assigned team delegations, ensuring seamless communication, coordination and on-the-ground support throughout their time in Australia.

About the role

  • Serve as the main liaison between global participating teams, World Netball and the Local Organising Committee
  • Support teams from arrival through to departure, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience
  • Coordinate team operations across accommodation, transport, training venues and scheduling
  • Lead planning and delivery of team-specific operational requirements and solutions
  • Manage day-to-day issues, providing proactive support and timely resolution
  • Oversee Team Liaison Officers (TLOs) and team-facing volunteers during tournament time
  • Contribute to readiness planning, test events and operational integration across functional areas

Skills and Capabilities

  • Experience working with elite sporting teams or in major event environments
  • Strong operational, coordination and stakeholder management skills
  • Capbility to problem-solve under pressure and work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal capability
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • A service-driven mindset with cultural awareness and adaptability
  • (Desirable) Experience as a Team Liaison/Services Officer and/or foreign language skills
  • (Required) Current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.

Additional Information

Reporting into the Netball Operations & Competitions Manager, this full-time role will be based at Sydney Olympic Park, on a fixed-term basis through to September 2027. Given the unique nature of the sports industry, and the domestic & global reach of our organisation, travelling and working outside of Netball HQ and traditional office hours may be required from time to time. Our teams work flexibly, and we encourage the successful applicant to discuss flexible working options with their new Manager.
