Swimming NSW is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Retail Operations Manager to lead our retail operations, e-commerce platform and merchandise strategy.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving sales growth, customer experience and operational excellence across the Swimming NSW Swim Shop and online store. Working closely with key partners including Speedo, suppliers and internal teams, you will lead inventory planning, procurement, retail systems and commercial initiatives to maximise revenue and member engagement.
You will also provide leadership to the Swim Shop Manager and retail team, ensuring strong operational performance while identifying opportunities to grow and enhance the retail offering across the organisation.
About you
You are an organised and commercially focused retail professional with experience managing retail operations, inventory and online sales channels.
You enjoy balancing strategic planning with day-to-day operational delivery and have a demonstrated ability to improve customer experience, optimise stock management and drive sales performance. You are highly collaborative, comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and passionate about delivering exceptional service.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the operation of the Swimming NSW Swim Shop and online retail platform.
- Manage inventory planning, stock control and procurement processes.
- Drive retail growth through new initiatives, product development and commercial opportunities.
- Lead supplier relationships and commercial partnerships.
- Oversee retail reporting, budgeting and performance analysis.
- Support the continuous improvement of systems and customer experience.
- Provide leadership and support to the Swim Shop Manager and retail team.
