South Adelaide Basketball Club is seeking an experienced and motivated coach to lead our NBL1 Women’s program in 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for our senior women’s program while helping shape the continued development of female basketball at South Adelaide.
We have a strong group of emerging athletes progressing through our pathway from Under 18 District basketball into Youth League and then into our NBL1 Women’s program.
We are looking for a Head Coach who understands the importance of that pathway and can work closely with our basketball department, Under 18 coaches and Youth League program to identify, develop and prepare emerging players for senior basketball.
A key part of the role will be strengthening the connection between Under 18, Youth League and NBL1, giving our young female athletes a clear and genuine pathway to progress within South Adelaide.
We want a coach who is passionate about player development, building a strong team environment and creating a program our athletes want to be part of.
The Role
The Head Coach will be responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the NBL1 Women’s program, including:
- Team preparation and game strategy
- Player development and performance
- Establishing clear standards and expectations
- Building a positive, supportive and accountable team culture
- Working closely with our Under 18 and Youth League programs to strengthen the pathway into NBL1
- Supporting the development of assistant coaches
- Building strong relationships with players, coaches and club staff
- Representing South Adelaide Basketball Club professionally on and off the court
