Kingborough Lions United FC is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Women's State League (WSL) Head Coach to lead our senior women's program for the 2027 Season.

As one of Tasmania's leading community football clubs, KLUFC is committed to creating an environment where players can thrive both on and off the field. We are looking for a coach who can foster a positive, high-performance culture while supporting the development of players across the women's pathway.

 About the Role

The WSL Head Coach will be responsible for the planning, delivery and management of the Women's State League program, working collaboratively with players, club officials, support staff and junior pathway coaches to build a successful and sustainable women's football program.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all training sessions and match day coaching activities for the Women's State League team.
  • Develop and implement a season plan aligned with the club's football philosophy.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture.
  • Support player development and progression within the club's women's pathway.
  • Assist with player recruitment and retention initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with club volunteers, support staff and football leadership.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, sportsmanship and professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with Football Australia and Football Tasmania policies and requirements.

 About You

You will ideally possess:

  • Demonstrated coaching experience in senior football programs.
  • A current Football Australia/AFC B Diploma (minimum)
  • Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A passion for developing female footballers.
  • Ability to create an enjoyable, supportive and competitive team environment.
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People registration (or ability to obtain).
  • Current First Aid qualification (desirable).
