Kingston & Districts Netball Association is seeking an experienced and passionate volunteer Representative Program Head Coach to lead the continued development of our representative program.
This is an exciting opportunity for a coach who enjoys developing players, coaches and strong team environments and wants to have a positive impact across an entire representative pathway.
The role has been structured with a strong focus on on-court leadership, coach mentoring, player development and program quality, with the majority of day-to-day administration supported by our Representative Program Administrator.
About the Role
The Representative Program Head Coach will provide leadership and technical direction across KDNA’s representative program, supporting players and coaches from junior representative netball through to our senior teams.
The successful applicant will be highly visible within the program and will work closely with our Representative coaches to help create a consistent, positive and development-focused coaching environment.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Mentoring and supporting Representative coaches
- Supporting the development of players across all age groups
- Regularly attending training sessions, matches and tournaments
- Providing technical and tactical coaching support
- Developing a consistent KDNA coaching philosophy and style of play
- Supporting coaches with training design, player development and team structures
- Providing specialist and positional development opportunities
- Supporting player pathways and identifying further development opportunities
- Assisting with Representative trials and player selection
- Supporting player movements and fill-in player requirements
- Coordinating the overall operations of Representative training, tournaments and competitions
- Planning and leading the annual Representative Player Induction Day
- Overseeing player contracts and communication standards within the program
- Reporting to the KDNA Board on team performance, coach development, player development and program operations
- Ensuring the Representative Program operates in accordance with KDNA, Netball Victoria and Child Safety requirements

- Is committed to building a strong and connected Representative Program
Applicants should hold Netball Australia Development Coaching accreditation or higher and have Representative or equivalent competitive coaching experience.
A current Working With Children Check is required.
