Description

The AUSTSWIM Teacher of Aquatics - Access and Inclusion course is designed to provide AUSTSWIM Teachers with the knowledge required to empower diverse groups of people to feel safer in, on and around water. Upon completion of this course, AUSTSWIM Teachers will be able to deliver programs and services that meet the needs of a diverse range of people who use the aquatic environment.

Originally known as AUSTSWIM Teacher of Aquatics for People with a Disability, this course has been updated and extended to reflect the growing size and diversity of today’s communities.

AUSTSWIM Teacher of Aquatics  Access and Inclusion adopts an educational approach to training and allows AUSTSWIM Teachers of Swimming and Water Safety to provide aquatics access and inclusion to all people regardless of:

  1. Disability
  2. Chronic condition
  3. Age
  4. Culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (CALD)

This course is aimed at current licence holders of the AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (TSW) accreditation. It is ideal for those looking to redesign diversity and who desire to teach and improve water safety for the whole community.
