Description

Are you a passionate, organised and strategic leader in the world of hockey? Do you have a strong understand of both the technical and administrative elements needed to run a successful school hockey program? If so, we would love to hear from you!

We are seeking an exceptional Head of Hockey to lead and shape the future of our hockey program for our students. As the Head of Hockey, you will play a key role in the strategic development and operational management of our hockey program. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient scheduling and execution of training sessions, fixtures, and tournaments, all while aligning the program with our school’s broader strategic goals. This role involves overseeing the structure of our teams, managing coach rosters, and working closely with players and staff to provide a high-quality, comprehensive hockey experience.

This position is being offered on a part-time (0.6 FTE) basis, commencing in January 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate fixturing for all hockey activities, ensuring smooth operation of training and tournaments.
  • Oversee team selection processes and ensure accurate data entry for all hockey activities.
  • Manage casual coach rosters and ensure timely submission of timesheets.
  • Liaise with the Director of Sport to align the hockey program with the School’s sports development plan.
  • Maintain high levels of student participation and performance in the hockey program.

About You

  • Relevant coaching qualifications.
  • Managerial and/or organisational experience in Hockey
  • Hold current Working with Children Check.
  • Hold a current police clearance dated within the last 6 months.
  • Proof of Right to Work in Australia.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Respect the values, traditions and Anglican ethos of the School.
