The Northern Inland Academy of Sport (NIAS) is on the hunt for a self-motivated Operations Coordinator to join our team. The role is based in our Tamworth office and offers an incredible chance to help shape the future of our sports programs and initiatives.

About Us:

The Northern Inland Academy of Sport (NIAS) is a values-led, community-based organisation established in 1992 and is one of 11 Regional Academies of Sport in the NSW network, providing opportunities and pathways for talented athletes and coaches to achieve excellence in their chosen sport. 

We service a large geographic area that encompasses 12 Local Government Areas, from Tenterfield in the north to Moree and Narrabri in the west, south to the Liverpool Plains, and Dorrigo in the east, with our head office based in Tamworth, NSW.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day operational and administrative activities for NIAS
  • Manage of our database
  • Support the efficient planning and implementation of NIAS projects
  • Boost NIAS's brand through social media posts and community engagement activities
  • Collaborate and communicate with our internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver gold-standard customer service across all areas of the business.

About You:

  • Enthusiastic and proactive with a desire to achieve
  • Experience in customer and administrative services
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and be self-motivated
  • Competent computer literacy with the ability to learn and use software quickly
  • Eager to learn, grow in a fast-paced environment.
