Description

The GPS Sport Assistant supports the operational aspects of sporting and cultural events for the Great Public Schools’ Association of Queensland. Reporting directly to the Competition Manager, this role involves managing competition schedules, updating databases, coordinating results, and assisting in event logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support, including updating fixtures and results.
  • Maintain and update the GPS Association's website and competition management systems.
  • Assist in scheduling events and coordinating logistics for fixtures and championships.
  • Liaise with school staff for accurate reporting and results management.
  • Support marketing efforts by updating content and creating event programs.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2-3 years of experience in sports administration or related fields.
  • Proficient in IT, including Excel and competition management software (e.g., PlayHQ, SportsTG).
  • Strong communication, multitasking abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours, including weekends

Additional Information:

  • The GPS Sport Assistant position is a part-time + 4week contract postion.
  • Term time + 4weeks planning
  • 20 hours per week
  • Office Days: Monday, Thursday and Friday (~ 9am - 3pm)
  • Remote Days: Saturday (afternoon approx. 2hours)
  • Flexible work hours during available during term time
  • Flexible work days during planning time suited to organisations needs
