About the role:

Operating within Exercise Science (Brisbane), The position will specifically support research academics within the SPRINT Research Centre. We are seeking an experienced Sports scientist to work as part of a research team in collaboration with the national Rugby League on a new project investigating training load. You will work as part of a research team to analyse large data sets pertaining to team sport training loads, competition scheduling and injury profiles. The work will centre around providing specific support to an identified Research Project (Project title: National Rugby League: Training Load Project), in addition to general assistance with research activities within the centre. This will involve collecting, entering and analysing data using a variety of methods, report writing and presentation of research findings.

In this role you will also be responsible for the monitoring and progression of a range of research activities towards timely and successful completion. This role offers strong career growth opportunities, allowing you to build expertise and advance in the field of exercise science and research.

Total remuneration valued to $124,604 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $105,292 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level A), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. A 3% salary increase will be effective from the beginning of the first full pay period commencing on or after 1st January 2025.
17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
