The Opportunity
Are you ready to take the next step in your career? As Basketball Hawthorn’s Operations Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of everything stadium and competition-related, ensuring smooth operations and creating exceptional experiences for our members. From overseeing our junior and senior competitions to managing the heartbeat of our club - our Stadium - you’ll play a pivotal role in driving growth through innovation and member engagement.
In this dynamic role, you’ll be the face of our Senior Domestic competition, fostering a positive vibe, growing participation, and ensuring our members feel valued and informed. Your leadership will span from grassroots programs to elite pathways, as you build connections with athletes, families, and key stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
- Administration and Data Management: Oversee the administration of the EDJBA, VJBL, and Big V competitions, ensuring compliance and seamless operations through process-driven management. Analyse participation and operational data to guide strategic decisions and continually enhance the member experience.
- Competition Management: Administration of the Senior Domestic competition including scheduling, attending games and building connections with participants.
- Stadium Oversight: Take ownership of the management of our Stadium, ensuring its effective operation and strategic alignment with the club’s goals.
- Member Communication: Act as the main point of contact for players, families, coaches, and team delegates, delivering clear and engaging updates that keep everyone in the loop.
- Club Delegate: Represent Basketball Hawthorn as the delegate for EDJBA, VJBL, and Big V, building strong relationships with competition administrators and ensuring seamless operations.
