Gymnastics Queensland serves as the governing body for gymnastics in the state, representing 58,000 members across 7 Gymsports and 123 clubs in 148 venues. About the Role
Position: Full-Time (38 hours per week)
Location: Gymnastics Queensland Head Office, Sleeman Sports Complex, Chandler, Brisbane
Event Coverage: Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, and Gold Coast
As the Championship Events Manager, you will lead the planning, execution and hands on delivery of high-quality State-level events (Category 1) across all Gymsports, including MAG, WAG, RG, TRP, ACR, AER, and GfA. Your role will ensure these events:
- Showcase each Gymsport positively.
- Align with budgets and technical requirements.
- Meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.

Experience, Qualifications & Skills
- Tertiary qualifications in event management, business, sport management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in event delivery, including working with volunteers and technical officials.
- Experience managing employees and collaborating with clubs.
- Knowledge of gymnastics or sporting events is advantageous.
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
- Current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain one).
