About the Role

Position: Full-Time (38 hours per week)
Location: Gymnastics Queensland Head Office, Sleeman Sports Complex, Chandler, Brisbane
Event Coverage: Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, and Gold Coast

As the Championship Events Manager, you will lead the planning, execution and hands on delivery of high-quality State-level events (Category 1) across all Gymsports, including MAG, WAG, RG, TRP, ACR, AER, and GfA. Your role will ensure these events:

• Showcase each Gymsport positively.
• Align with budgets and technical requirements.
• Meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.

Experience, Qualifications & Skills

• Tertiary qualifications in event management, business, sport management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in event delivery, including working with volunteers and technical officials.
• Experience managing employees and collaborating with clubs.
• Knowledge of gymnastics or sporting events is advantageous.

Mandatory Requirements

• Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
• Current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain one).
