Netball ACT (NACT) is looking for an enthusiastic individual to help develop netball programs in diverse communities throughout the ACT as we continue to grow our participation.
With over 8,000 registered members, this role will require extensive communication between various stakeholders who play a vital role in promoting netball throughout the ACT. The successful candidate will work alongside Member Associations, ACT's Net Set Go Centres, ACT schools and the greater ACT community to increase the presence of, and engagement with, netball.
Key Responsibilities
Establish a beginner level netball program specifically designed for non-English speaking participants.
Provide culturally sensitive coaching and resources in non-English languages to facilitate understanding and participation to associations and clubs.
Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes social integration and cultural exchange.
Increase participation rates of non-English speaking individuals in netball and promote lifelong engagement in physical activity.
Enhance teacher training in schools so that every student can have access to the sport of Netball.
Achieve year on year increases in participation numbers in line with targets set by NACT
Foster collaborative partnerships with Netball Australia to benefit the netball ecosystem

High level interpersonal skills to effectively develop and maintain partnerships, networks and client relationships
Key Selection Criteria
Experience in a similar role within the sport and recreation sector
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the development and delivery of physical programs for community sport
Demonstrated experience with different approaches to meet various stakeholder demands
Experience in building partnerships with teachers, schools and community members
Some netball coaching experience or accreditation would be an advantage
