Lead, develop, direct and implement strategies to improve the availability and capacity of Australian rugby players
Oversee rehabilitation programs and processes within the Rugby Australia network both directly (case leader) and indirectly (program support)
Contribute strongly to the broader development and expertise of sports medicine and physiotherapy within rugby

Outcome Responsibilities
Implement and administer National Screening, together with relevant program staff
Provide individual interventions through exercise and treatment that should lead to better player availability
Identify system wide patterns of injury, regions of concern and proactively develop interventions
Case lead and direct successful rehabilitation outcomes for selected players and continue to maintain contact for at least 6 weeks after returning to play
Support program physios during selected player rehabilitation cases
Lead the creation of a Center of Excellence for Rehabilitation
Collaborative communication skills with ability to oversee effective and efficient information flow between different high-performance multidisciplinary teams
Effective and efficient organisational skills
IT and computer literate and competent
Understanding of and ability to maintain appropriate medical confidentiality
Ability to analyse complex medical problems and develop bespoke solutions
Interstate travel will be required
National camp attendance will be required

Experience
Proven experience in the use of screening to identify and subsequently implement interventions
Demonstrated expertise and experience successfully rehabilitating a variety of long-term injuries
Minimum of 8 years as a practicing physiotherapist in a high-performance contact sport
