We are hiring for a Tournament Spaces Delivery Lead to join our Infrastructure team and take the lead on delivering the spaces that bring the Australian Open 2026 to life. This is a full-time fixed-term contract from July 2025 to the end of February 2026.

About the role
As Tournament Spaces Delivery Lead, you'll take the lead in transforming empty spaces into high-performing environments for players, workforce, and tournament operations. From furniture and finishes to services and signage, you'll work alongside our Manager Tournament Spaces Delivery to bring the plans to life by managing every detail of the temporary infrastructure and fit-out.
This is a hands-on role where you'll collaborate with a broad mix of internal teams and external suppliers to make sure every space not only looks great but functions flawlessly, all while keeping timelines tight and budgets in check. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Bringing tournament spaces to life, transforming raw areas into fully functional zones for players, workforce, and operations
- Leading end-to-end delivery of temporary fit-outs and services across the precinct, from concept to completion
- Turning design intent into reality by collaborating with suppliers, designers, and contractors to deliver creative and compliant overlay solutions
- Managing logistics, budgets, and timelines to ensure every space is delivered on time, on brief, and on budget
- Driving improvements by feeding event-time learnings into future planning, helping us raise the bar year after year
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience delivering fit-out or temporary infrastructure for major events, venues, or large-scale activations
- A practical understanding of what makes a space work from furniture, materials to power, signage and the finishing touches
- Confidence interpreting overlay plans and design drawings and turning them into well-executed spaces
- Strong people skills, able to coordinate suppliers, manage contractors, and build trust with a wide range of stakeholders
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and comfortable managing timelines, budgets, and project reporting
