AusCycling is the nation’s peak riding and cycling body, representing more than 5 million Australians who ride bikes. Formed in 2020 from 19 state, territory, and national bodies, AusCycling is responsible for programs, projects and initiatives that encompass BMX, Track, Mountain Bike, Road, Para and recreational.
We help school kids learn to ride, we stage more than 500 events each year, we nurture clubs and create pathways, and we are responsible for the training, welfare, and performance of Australia’s Olympic, Commonwealth Games and World Tour athletes.

Team Purpose
Our Clubs and Community Enhancement Pillar is responsible for building, supporting, and enhancing the capabilities of both the Club Network and associated community organisations. The team also drives high quality experiences for sport participants, administrators, coaches, and officials with the aim of creating a world-class, sustainable national sporting system.
Position Purpose
As part of the Clubs and Community Team, the Event Manager leads the planning and delivery of selected events in Victoria and Tasmania, including the Tour of Tasmania, ensuring alignment with national strategy, participation growth, and event quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
The following responsibilities are indicative requirements of the role and are not intended to represent an exhaustive list of all requirements.
Working under general supervision:
- Act as the lead for the delivery of the Tour of Tasmania.
- Lead the state-based strategy and oversight for road racing including calendar development.
- Design and lead the delivery of new events in line with the AusCycling strategic plan.
- Work in sync with Events staff within the Victoria and Tasmania teams to harness team capability, support growth, and ensure long-term event sustainability.
- Support the on-site delivery of nominated National level road cycling events.
- Role model AusCycling organisational values, demonstrating a high standard of behaviour, including respect for, and collaboration with others at all times.
- Adhere to, uphold and promote the principles of AusCycling policies and operating procedures.
- Other duties as directed to support the overall success of AusCycling, in support of event planning and management as directed from time to time.
