AusCycling is the nation’s peak riding and cycling body, representing more than 5 million Australians who ride bikes. Position Purpose       

As a (Senior) Data Engineer at AusCycling, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the data architecture that enables the collection, cleansing, processing, and integration of large volumes of structured and unstructured data across the organization. Your work will support data-driven decision-making within the performance pillar of Auscyling helping athletes to achieve their golden medal winning ambition. 

You will work within the Data and Intelligence department to develop scalable data pipelines, deliver integrated data platforms, and ensure reliable, timely access to actionable insights.

Responsibilities         

  • Design and manage end-to-end data architecture in Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Build and maintain efficient ETL pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
  • Lead data integration from various sources including APIs, streaming data, and third-party platforms.
  • Data modeling
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers, developers, and interns.
  • Basic understanding of data security and implementation - Azure Active Directory and security groups

Essential Requirements

  • National Police / Criminal History Check
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
