Melbourne City Football Schools (CFS) is currently seeking experienced and passionate coaches to join our growing team.
We’re looking for individuals who are dedicated to the development of young players and who can confidently deliver either general coaching sessions and/or specialised goalkeeping (GK) coaching sessions. Our program is designed for players aged 5 to 14, and is underpinned by the PLAY methodology – a player-centered, age-appropriate framework developed within City Football Group (CFG).
This is a meaningful opportunity to play a vital role in nurturing the next generation of footballers in a supportive, professional, and values-driven environment.
Availabilities
Deliver coaching on weekdays and/or weekends across multiple locations, including:
- Brighton, Bundoora, Casey, Essendon, Monash, Mentone and Altona.
Availability to coach during school holiday camps at:
- Doncaster, Ballarat and Geelong.
All roles are available immediately, offered on a casual basis to candidates with current work rights in Australia.

Key Responsibilities
- Run quality coaching sessions that provide a positive, safe and exciting learning environment for all players by using a variety of teaching and coaching techniques.
- Work closely with the coordinators to ensure first class communications with relevant stakeholders including venues, parents and staff.
- Devise and review content on a weekly and term basis, following a long- term development plan.
- Ensure Club safety protocols and child safeguarding requirements are adhered to.
What makes you the perfect Team member:
- Holder of a Coaching /GK Coaching Accreditation from a recognised National or International body (or a general coaching accreditation with GK coaching experience sufficient).
- Demonstrated understanding of the technical and physical requirements of modern football.
- Knowledge of youth coaching and youth football (in Victoria preferred).
- Energetic, reliable, positive team player with proven integrity and discretion.
- Your own transport and hold a current driver’s licence.
- Flexible with a willingness to work weekends and travel to various sites for coaching, where applicable.
- Current Australian work rights.
- Must hold a current Victorian Working with Children Check and Police Check (or successful prior to commencement)
