WAIS is seeking a Sport Program Coordinator to work closely with sport programs to ensure efficient service delivery by coordinating logistics and administering key organisational processes that support athlete scholarships and high performance outcomes.
The successful candidate will have experience in coordinating program operations, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
This position is full-time, 37.5 hours per week and is maximum term until December 2028 with the potential to extend.

Role Overview:
In this role your key areas of responsibility include:
- Provide quality coordination, operational and administrative support to sport programs.
- Collaborate with the Sport Program Manager, coaches and support staff to deliver integrated and athlete-focused services.
- Support the delivery of efficient administration across sport programs by improving systems, maintaining consistent operational standards, and helping implement tools that enable data-informed decision-making.
About you:
- You have an undergraduate qualification in Sports Administration/Sports Management or related field and/or demonstrated knowledge through lived experience.
- You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar positions including experience in coordinating program operations such as task management, travel logistics, and stakeholder communications.
- You are an excellent written and verbal communicator and engage effectively with a range of stakeholders, including partners, managers, coaches, athletes, and parents.
- You have experience in developing, managing, and using information management systems.
- You have a demonstrated ability to work in accordance with established practices and procedures with high attention to detail and maintain confidentiality.
- Intermediate level proficiency in the use of Microsoft 365 products.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in high-performance, interdisciplinary teams; prioritising team goals, solving problems through constructive debate, and applying lessons to enhance future success
- Proven skill in engaging others to adopt ideas and commit to actions, including educating staff and athletes to facilitate high-performance behaviour change
- Experience within the sporting sector will be highly regarded but is not essential.
- You are a genuine team player that cares about others and always acts with kindness and integrity.
- You have, or are willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check, National Police Criminal History check and agree to Swimming Australia Integrity checks.
