Water Polo NSW, the governing state body for the sport of water polo, is responsible for the governance, events, competitions, sport development, rules, club services and communications, and services up to 50-member clubs/associations and over 7,000 participants across the state.

Reporting to the Competitions Manager, the Competitions Coordinator is responsible for the effective planning, administration, and delivery of WPNSW’s competitions and events. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that our competitions are well-organised, athlete-centred, and aligned with national standards.

Working in a small, highly focused team environment, this diverse role will suit a process driven, self-starter with a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and activities at once whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail, delivering projects and events both on time and on budget.

High level communication skills (both written and oral) are essential in this role, as is the ability to liaise with state and club officials, volunteers, members and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in sports administration, event coordination, or competition delivery. A background in water polo or another team sport would be beneficial.
