We’re looking for an energetic and organised Competition Manager to lead the coordination and delivery of our basketball competitions ensuring every game, from start to finish runs smoothly.

The Role

As Competition Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of all CBI competitions, driving participation, quality, and efficiency. From managing staff and referees to implementing growth and revenue strategies, your leadership will help shape the future of basketball in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all CBI competitions.
• Learn and implement the Basketball Connect software.
• Lead and roster competition staff and referees.
• Develop and deliver strategies for growth and revenue.
• Conduct daily safety audits and maintain compliance standards.
• Ensure all score tables are equipped and ready for play.
• Enforce competition rules and support fair play.
• Process payments and provide customer assistance.
• Maintain stock levels (e.g., injury ice) and reconcile canteen takings.
• Assist with court bookings and referee payment records.
• Contribute to CBI’s social media updates and promotions.
• Support general administration and maintain a clean, professional environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong organisational and leadership skills.
• Great communication and teamwork abilities.
• A proactive, solutions-focused attitude.
• Willingness to learn competition software and new systems.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Experience in sports administration or event management (desirable).
• Knowledge of basketball operations (preferred but not essential).
