Nuna Aqua Power (formerly known as Ivanhoe Aqua Power) - part of the Nunawading Swimming Club, one of Australia's premier performance pathways - is seeking an outstanding full-time Head Coach to lead our Squad Program and drive continued success from junior development to national representation.
We have a proud history of producing Olympians, Paralympians and national age medallists. Based primarily in Ivanhoe, the squad program continues to grow rapidly, powered by a strong Learn-to-Swim foundation and talented athletes.

About the Role
The Head Coach will lead Nuna Aqua Power's Squad Program and be accountable for creating a safe, sustainable and high-performance environment.
Program Leadership
- Design, implement and evaluate periodised plans across squads
- Ensure progression from development to high-performance pathways
- Apply contemporary physical and psychological coaching methods
People & Collaboration
- Mentor, supervise and develop coaching staff
- Exercise independent judgement and decision-making
- Partner with NSC leadership to ensure operational excellence
Performance & Pathways
- Coach athletes targeting State and National Championships
- Lead performance analysis, race planning and review cycles
- Foster talent identification and transitions into upper performance stream pathways
Community & Club Engagement
- Work collaboratively and often with a broad and experienced coaching team at Nunawading Swimming Club
- Promote positive club culture, participation and retention
- Maintain strong parent and athlete relationships
Operational Accountability
- Manage rosters, schedules and administrative compliance
- Contribute to resource and budget stewardship
- Ensure adherence to Child Safe Standards and organisational policies

- Demonstrated experience developing national-level athletes throughout your coaching career
- A collaborative and disciplined coaching leadership style
- Strong communication with parents and stakeholders
- Skilled use of performance data and modern coaching technologies
Essential Requirements
(Per NSC Enterprise Agreement - Coach Level 3: Performance Coach)
- Swimming Australia Coaching Licence (from 2026)
- Advanced / Performance Coaching Accreditation (Swimming Australia)
- National-level coaching experience - minimum 3 years
- Valid Working With Children Check - Victoria
- HLTAID001 CPR and HLTAID003 First Aid
- SISSS00111 Pool Lifeguard qualification
- Regular professional development
- Must have existing Australian work rights as visa sponsorship is not available
