- Salary from: $79,867 to $95,366 per annum + 12% superannuation + $1,000 pa transport allowance

The role
The Sales & Marketing Officer is responsible for proactively sourcing new business opportunities and driving sales across all programs and services offered by North Sydney Olympic Pool (NSOP). This role also ensures the effective management and delivery of marketing initiatives in alignment with Council’s branding and communication guidelines.
In this role, you’ll:
- Conduct daily tours of the Centre and provide tailored sales solutions in response to enquiries regarding memberships, programs, and services.
- Develop and implement an annual marketing calendar to support consistent internal and external lead generation.
- Upholding NSOP’s sales policies, procedures, and philosophies in all sales and marketing activities.
- Support and mentor staff across NSOP in handling membership enquiries, with a strong focus on improving conversion rates and enhancing customer engagement.

The person
We are currently seeking an innovative and highly motivated Sales & Marketing Officer to join our new NSOP team. The successful applicant will be responsible for heading the sales and promotion of the redeveloped NSOP, actively sourcing new business and increasing sales to all NSOP programs and services.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to be part of one of Sydney’s most legendary sites, with the chance to help build a business from scratch. As the frontrunner of sales and marketing you will work closely with the NSOP Marketing Committee, to develop and implement campaigns designed to attract and grow patron numbers. The role will support and guide other staff in handling enquiries, with particular focus on increasing membership sales and growth across all areas of NSOP. The Sales & Marketing Officer will set the bar in terms of customer service and creating unforgettable experiences for all visitors to the Centre.

Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in direct sales using a ‘sales’ system.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing Marketing Plans to successfully increase enquiries and sales numbers.
- Demonstrated innovation and resourcefulness to effectively promote the services &/or facilities of a (leisure centre) business.
- Highly developed planning, time management and organisational skills, with a proven ability to work to deadlines.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of a wide variety of media formats, including websites, social media, and print.
- High level communication, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consistently deliver a quality customer service experience.
- High level computer skills across a variety of software packages.
- Be able to satisfy the requirements of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 and Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulations 2013 and provide a current NSW Working with Children Clearance; and adhere to Workplace Health & Safety requirements.
- National Criminal Records Check Clearance
Desirable Criteria
- Experience using computerised POS leisure management systems
- Experience training other staff to understand and implement a sales system.
- Flexibility to work across a seven (7) days week operation with morning shifts starting from 8:00am and closing shifts finishing at 7:00pm
- Experience and knowledge of Local Government practices, regulations and policies
- Vaccinated against COVID-19
