About the Role
We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Health & Fitness Coordinator to lead the delivery of our health and fitness programs. This full-time leadership role combines strategic program development with hands-on operational oversight across gym operations, group fitness, and personal training services.
You’ll ensure safe, high-quality service delivery, maintain equipment and facility standards, and lead a high-performing fitness team. This role is ideal for a fitness professional with strong leadership skills, a commitment to community wellbeing, and a strategic mindset for program growth and member engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of health and fitness programs aligned with industry standards.
- Oversee delivery of group fitness, personal training, and specialised programs.
- Recruit, roster, and develop health and fitness staff, fostering a culture of professionalism and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with WHS protocols, child-safe standards, and risk management procedures.
- Manage day-to-day operations of fitness facilities, including equipment setup, inspections, and reporting.
- Act as a key point of contact for members, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Support marketing and engagement initiatives to promote programs and strengthen community partnerships.
- Drive membership sales, renewals, and participation through strategic promotions.
- Contribute to budget planning, equipment procurement, and fee reviews.
- Analyse participation data to inform program improvements and innovation.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in Sports Science, Certificate IV in Fitness, or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the health and fitness or leisure industry
- Strong understanding of child-safe practices and compliance standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
- Current NSW Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
- PUAFER005 & PUAFER008 (or ability to obtain)
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence
- Australian citizenship or valid working rights

Hours of Work:
