About the Role

The Event Administrator plays a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of high-quality Hockey Australia events by owning key stakeholder relationships, driving event logistics, and ensuring all operational elements are executed efficiently and professionally. This role provides critical administrative, planning and on-site support to the Events Team, assisting with the department’s central communication channels, and oversees the preparation and dispatch of event equipment. Through strong coordination, attention to detail and proactive communication, the Events Administrator helps ensure every national and international event is organised, resourced and delivered to a consistent, high standard.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support planning and delivery of major Hockey Australia events, including National Championships and international fixtures.
  • Coordinate pre-event administration, documentation, and communication with officials and stakeholders.
  • Manage competition systems (Altius/Rev Sport) and ensure accurate data entry and event program distribution.
  • Assist with on-site event operations, including logistics, venue setup, accreditation, and equipment management.
  • Oversee inventory and logistics for event equipment, including packing, tracking, and dispatch.
  • Administer post-event surveys, compile reports, and support reviews with stakeholders and funding bodies.
  • Provide governance and compliance support, including integrity messaging and incident reporting processes.
  • Deliver operational and administrative support to the Events Team, including travel coordination and off-field events.

Remuneration

Hockey Australia will offer a $51,00 base salary plus superannuation dependent upon the successful applicant's skills and experience.

Experience, Skills and Attributes

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and highly self-motivated with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Strong organisational, coordination, and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of sport competition requirements and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and show initiative.
  • Tertiary qualification (or working towards) in Sport Management, Event Management or equivalent

  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
