Description

Reporting to the Manager of Development and Pathways, the Volleyball Victoria Development Coordinator will play important roles across sport development and sport education as well as providing events and competition support.  This role will contribute to growing the sport of volleyball in Victoria.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Sport Development

  • Support the implementation and development of entry level volleyball programs (PlayVolley, Sporting Schools and Camps) within schools, clubs and associations as part of the National Participation Plan.
  • Engage with key stakeholders including schools, clubs, associations, and community partners to support the delivery and growth of participation programs.
  • Coordinate Sporting Schools program bookings, ensuring that all program enquiries are answered and referred to the appropriate delivery partners and coaches.
  • Coordinate the delivery of school holiday development programs at State Volleyball Centre and other venues throughout Victoria.

Sport Education

  • Implement the education and training plan including promotion of courses, bookings and preparing materials.
  • Organise education opportunities for affiliates, members, school groups such as workshops, teacher professional development or clinic delivery.
  • Manage the accreditation database and processing for both Coaching and Refereeing streams in accordance with Volleyball Australia’s national accreditation framework.
  • Assist with the production and distribution of promotional material related to development programs for coaches, referees, players and affiliate administrators.

Events and Competition Support

  • Coordinate referee bookings for events and activities for partners including but not limited to School Sport Victoria, AGSV, APS and other School Competitions.
  • Assist with the delivery of the Melbourne Vipers Super League team including game day support, required during home round events.

   Other

  • Undertake administration tasks as required in a small team including answering phones and email enquiries, representing the organisation at functions, supporting “all office” events and functions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in the database (RevSport) and ensure all information is managed in accordance with the Volleyball Victoria Privacy Policy.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports as required to support organisational operations and performance monitoring.
  • Supply updates to the VV website, Social Madia pages and other information channels relating to operational portfolio to ensure content is accurate and available.
  • Invoicing and financial management of core responsibilities.
  • Carry out other duties as directed by the CEO.

  • Drivers Licence
