About the role
Reporting to the Pathways Manager, the Pathways Coordinator plays a key role in the administration, coordination and delivery of Netball Victoria’s pathway programs, including:
- Underage State Teams (17/U & 19/U)
- Elevate athlete development program
- First Nations State Team
- Talent Identification programs and tournaments
You’ll work closely with coaches, athletes, officials and stakeholders to ensure programs run smoothly, selection processes are well managed, and records and systems are maintained to a high standard.
This is a high-impact role suited for someone who thrives in sport, is calm under pressure, and can manage diverse stakeholder groups. Initiative, organisation and energy will be key drivers for your success.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Coordinating athlete selection processes and program logistics
- Supporting the delivery of camps, training sessions and competitions
- Managing administration, documentation and athlete records
- Assisting with uniforms, travel and event coordination for championships
- Supporting athlete development and wellbeing initiatives
- Liaising with Netball Australia, clubs and internal stakeholders
- Representing Netball Victoria at events, meetings and tournaments
This role requires some after-hours and weekend work, including attendance at state and national championships.
What you will bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (sport management, sport science, human movement or similar)
- 1-2 years’ experience in sport administration or a similar environment (placements and internships considered)
- Strong administration, organisation and communication skills
- Confidence working with athletes, coaches and volunteers
- An interest in talent development and high-performance sport
- High computer literacy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Knowledge of diversity, inclusion child safe practices and community sport principles.
- Valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Driver’s licence and ability to travel within Victoria.
Knowledge of netball and athlete pathways will be highly regarded.
