About Hunter Volleyball
Hunter Volleyball was Incorporated in 2020, building on almost 30 years of local volleyball history under Newcastle Volleyball Association. The Hunter Region is one of the State’s most popular tourism, education and employment destinations, and Hunter Volleyball is the largest regional volleyball association in New South Wales.
Hunter Volleyball is riding the wave of overwhelming interest and demand amongst children, teens and adults. This role is essential to support the delivery of a growing competitions and events portfolio.
What will I be doing?
You will be the face of the association at our venues, and an administration whiz who can assist with competition and event development and delivery. You will create a positive member experience, administer programs and competitions calmly and efficiently, and contribute to raising the profile of the Association through engaging online content which promotes your work!
You will work a 18 hour week and we have flexibility to set working days and hours to suit the right candidate, who can work both from home and out of our competition venues to make sure we keep up to date with the needs of our community.

What does Hunter Volleyball need from me?
- Proven history as an experienced administration assistant.
- Previous experience in event and competition roles with other sporting codes will be highly regarded
- A passion for a career in competition and events, which we can nurture through this role
- Reliable personal transport
- Confidence using technology for work including Microsoft and Google Apps, plus any membership, competition/results, or website & social media platforms. A willigness to learn these is also vital.
- A valid NSW Working with Children Clearance (Employment)
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers
- Demonstrated high levels of organisation and composure under pressure
