Sydney University Hockey Club (SUHC) is seeking driven, high-performance coaches for our Women’s 1st and 2nd Grade squads for the 2026 season. This is an opportunity for coaches who want to work within an established performance program, be mentored by experienced coaches, and contribute to the development of elite athletes in one of Sydney’s largest clubs.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead coaching, match preparation and game strategy for 1st or 2nd Grade
- Plan and deliver engaging twice-weekly training sessions
- Provide athlete feedback and development support
- Collaborate across grades on selection, preseason planning and pathways
- Uphold program standards, culture and values
Ideal Candidates
We welcome applicants with coaching experience in performance, representative, Premier League, university or pathway environments. We also welcome emerging coaches who are interested in stepping into high-performance environments and developing their coaching craft under guidance and mentorship. Accreditation is desirable but not essential for the right candidate, and support to attain accreditation can be provided.
About SUHC
Founded in 1906, Sydney University Hockey Club competes in the Sydney Women's Hockey League, Sydney Hockey Association and Sydney East Hockey Association competitions, fielding 19 teams across all competitions and grades. Women's 1st Grade and 2nd Grade compete in SWHL ML1 and ML2, the highest available grades.
Commitment
- Season runs March to September 2026
- Weekly training and Sunday fixtures
- Preseason involvement encouraged
Honorarium
A volunteer honorarium is provided in recognition of the commitment involved.
