A fantastic opportunity exists for a committed and energetic Sports Coordinator to help drive the continued growth of our extracurricular Sports program at Loreto Normanhurst. In this influential role, you will support student development, guide coaching staff, and contribute to a positive and values driven sporting culture.
The role is permanent full time and will commence in early April 2026.
The Role
- Coordinate, develop, and deliver assigned extracurricular sports programs, training schedules and sporting events.
- Manage student administration, behaviour, and wellbeing within assigned sports.
- Recruit, mentor and support high-quality Sports Coaches, ensuring strong program delivery.
- Oversee training programs and maintain effective communication with external sporting bodies and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant WHS standards and sporting governance requirements.
- Promote sport programs within the school community and assist with major whole-school sporting events.
- Support the management of sporting facilities, equipment, and operational procedures.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Must hold a valid Working with Children Check.
- Relevant sports qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in coordinating sports programs.
- Pool Lifeguard Qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Strong organisational, communication and IT skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to work proactively, independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to student wellbeing and school values.
