Table Tennis Australia - Marketing/Digital Transformation/Legal
Table Tennis Australia (TTA) is the recognised national governing body for the Olympic sport of table tennis in Australia, overseeing the sport's development, promotion, and participation across all states and territories. It is affiliated with the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and is responsible for implementing policies, developing high-performance athletes, and increasing membership. The organisation promotes table tennis for all ages and abilities, offering programs for schools and clubs, and developing pathways for competitive play.
We are recruiting a Non-Executive Board Director with a passion for sport and specialist expertise to enhance our Board. This is a voluntary (unpaid) position and represents a unique opportunity to contribute your professional skills to an Olympic sport with community impact.
We are seeking one, and possibly two, Directors with proven expertise in one of the following areas:
- Marketing - demonstrated expertise in brand and marketing strategy, social media and media engagement.
- Digital transformation - experience in digital transformation and applying technology at scale for the benefit of customers and for business efficiency.
- Legal expertise in sports, contract, employment or not-for-profit law.
- Experience working with the community, at scale, would be an advantage.
AICD qualifications or equivalent governance experience will be highly regarded.
The Role
As a Non-Executive Director, you will:
- Contribute to the strategic direction and governance of Table Tennis Australia.
- Provide oversight of risk, performance, and compliance to ensure long-term sustainability.
- Offer specialist insights that strengthen decision-making at a Board and committee level.
- Champion Table Tennis Australia’s vision and values within your networks and the wider community.
There are eight (8) board meetings per annum, which are held online, plus an AGM where in person attendance is preferred, and Directors are also expected to contribute to Board committees.
