TTV is the peak sporting body for table tennis in Victoria and is the largest State body in Australia, with approximately 40% of the National membership base including approximately 68 affiliated clubs and Associations.
Position Summary:
The CEO is responsible for operational management of TTV which includes:
Sport Development (including Participation, High Performance, Coaches, Referees & Officials)
Media and Communication
Stakeholder Management
Key Accountabilities:
Governance & Administration:
Regular reporting to the Chair and TTV Board on all areas of the business
Preparing Board meetings, the Annual General Meeting, and General meetings required
Management of TTV in line with its Constitution and By-Laws, including on-going review and recommendations regarding fitness for purpose and suitability
Development and implementation of the Operational Plan to meet strategic objectives
Continuous improvement, resource allocation and administration of TTV
Development, implementation and management of all policies and procedures
Effective leadership, staff development, recruitment and management of employees and volunteers
Compliance with all regulatory obligations
Negotiation and management of TTV lease and license agreements with State Sporting Centres Trust
Strategic & Operational Planning:
Development and implementation of the Strategic Plan
Identifying new and emerging opportunities and areas of business and participation growth.
Ensure all business decisions are consistent with TTV’s strategic direction and sector priorities
Maintain focus on core strategic objectives, effective operations and be responsive to industry and member needs
Maintain key stakeholder relationships including supporting TTV affiliates and working with Table Tennis Australia, particularly in the areas of integrity, membership and tournaments.
Competencies:
Experience/Qualifications:
Extensive professional industry experience, with a focus on community and / or high-performance sport (essential)
Demonstrated business management experience and / or equivalent qualifications, including financial management (essential)
Recent experience in management or leadership role, including people management / HR (essential)
Relevant experience working with Boards (desirable)
Sport events and / or competition management experience (desirable)
Specialist Skills and Knowledge:
Demonstrated understanding of contemporary sport governance principles (essential)
Excellent administrative skills, including planning and reporting (essential)
Outstanding relationship management and conflict resolution skills (essential)
Business, commercial and political acumen (essential)
Ability to assist affiliates and the organisation with progression planning.
Skills:
Computer literacy in both Microsoft suite of packages and XERO.
Confident in decision making, problem solving and conflict resolution.
High quality verbal and written communication skills.
