Description

The Wanderers Australia international Football/Soccer tour program has been in existence for over 29 years.  Most players attending the tours are NPL level players, or those who are playing regional or state school level. For those who are not fully aware of our program head to waus.com.au

The aim of our program is to have passionate individual players from across Australia travel overseas through football, improve with excellent coaching and playing against the local players, but also equally importantly build some resilience and confidence in players, teach them some life and travel skills and come back a better player and person from the experience.

We have some coaching/team staff vacancies for coaches, managers and sports trainers that we would like to fill for the following tours coming up:

  • Womens Football Tour - USA / Canada - Sept 25 to Oct 14 2026
  • U13/14 Junior Football Tour - Japan - Dec 1st to Dec 16 2026
  • Junior Football Tour - England and France - Dec 27 2026 to Jan 12/13 2027

Coaches are expected to be Football Australia/AFC A Diploma or working towards this level, team staff are experected to have experience at NPL / state or state representative schools/association level,  demonstrate experience in looking after young people in terms of supervision, not just coaching, and assist in supervising the players throughout the tour as well as coaching them. They must also have a current working with children check/ blue suitability card and be senior first aid qualified before departure.

As our program has many female players involved, we encourage female coaches/team staff who would like to develop their coaching skills and be a part of the program to apply. We would also encourage former players who have played at W/A League womens level, who are  now transitioning into coaching to apply.

Wanderers Australia covers tour costs for staff including uniform, flights, accommodation, transfers, breakfast, some dinners, entry fees and travel insurance as well as internal transfers.

Full backup support is provided by Wanderers Australia for all staff before and on tour, and each tour will have an experienced leader on board.

Coaches and team staff are required to supervise the players throughout the tour on and off the field.
