Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the reopening and ongoing operation of the facility following its major redevelopment.

You will be responsible for safe, sustainable and commercially successful operations. Reporting to the ISCNSW Board, you will oversee facility management, staff leadership, financial performance and stakeholder engagement.
The Opportunity
You will lead all aspects of rink operations including:
- Delivering operational strategy, planning and Board reporting.
- Managing safe daily operation of the facility and technical infrastructure.
- Leading recruitment, performance and development of staff.
- Overseeing programming, bookings and customer experience.
- Managing budgets, utilisation and commercial outcomes.
- Ensuring WHS, regulatory and insurance compliance.
- Maintaining relationships with councils, agencies and sporting stakeholders.
This role offers significant autonomy, variety and impact in a complex, community-focused environment.
About You
Essential
- Senior leadership experience managing sporting, leisure or recreation facilities (aquatic centres, stadiums, leisure centres or similar).
- Minimum 5+ years of senior leadership experience in facility management is required.
- Experience overseeing asset-intensive or safety-critical operations.
- Strong people leadership and stakeholder management capability.
- Financial and commercial management experience.
- Full profit and loss responsibility for budget management and commercial outcomes.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Desirable
- Ice rink or specialised sporting facility experience.
- Experience reporting to Boards.
- Experience leading reopenings or major transitions.

Salary & Benefits
Salary package expected to be in the range of $120,000 - $150,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience.
