Description

Help strengthen netball operations and systems capability across Victoria

Are you an experienced netball administrator with strong knowledge of Netball Connect and competition operations? Netball Victoria is seeking a full-time Shared Services Coordinator to join our purpose-led team.

This is an opportunity to play a practical and meaningful role in supporting netball associations, leagues and clubs across Victoria - helping reduce administrative burden, strengthen systems capability and support operational efficiencies.

This role is based in Parkville, Melbourne and includes onsite attendance as part of Netball Victoria’s hybrid working arrangements. While the position is full-time, we may consider part-time hours worked across 5 days for the right candidate, with some flexibility outside standard business hours.

About Netball Victoria

At Netball Victoria, we’re more than a sporting organisation, we’re a community dedicated to empowering lives through netball. Guided by our values of empowerment, innovation, and leadership, we aim to inspire and grow the sport while making a lasting impact - from grassroots to elite level.

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Shared Services, the Shared Services Coordinator plays a key operational role within the Shared Services business unit.

This role manages general member related enquiries, supports Netball Assist service delivery (Netball Victoria’s paid administrative support service that assists associations, leagues and clubs with governance, systems and operational tasks) and provides affiliate education and support, including the Netball Connect competition management system. It contributes to building capable, confident and well-supported netball communities across Victoria.

The role also supports the ongoing strengthening of internal systems, processes and workflows within Shared Services and contributes to effective knowledge transfer to associations, leagues and clubs to improve administrative capability across the sport.

The position would suit someone currently working or volunteering within netball who brings strong operational knowledge and a practical understanding of competition administration and is motivated to continue developing their systems capability.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Managing Shared Services in-boxes and directing enquiries
  • Coordinating Netball Assist job requests and preparation of service agreements
  • Coordinating Netball Assist Facilitator allocation and maintaining workflow records
  • Delivering netball association, league and club education and support in relation to Netball Connect
  • Facilitating online training sessions (both live and pre-recorded)
  • Supporting drop-in information sessions and system troubleshooting
  • Maintaining CRM workflows and operational documentation
  • Providing administrative support to the Head of Shared Services
  • Contributing to the efficient and structured operation of the Shared Services function

What you will bring:

  • Advanced capability in Netball Connect administration and a strong understanding of competition set up and management
  • Practical experience working within a netball association, league or club environment
  • Confidence delivering online training sessions, both live and pre-recorded
  • Demonstrated experience managing shared inboxes, enquiries or operational workflows
  • Ability to clearly explain system processes to volunteers and administrators
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities within a structured environment
  • Demonstrated willingness to strengthen internal systems, processes and workflows
  • Commitment to supporting affiliates to build confidence and capability
  • Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid driver’s licence (desirable)

Applications from current club and association netball volunteers are strongly encouraged.

What we offer:

  • Flexibility: Hybrid working arrangements and recognition that our work doesn’t always fit a 9-to-5 schedule.
  • Exclusive Perks: Free parking onsite, gym access, tickets to Melbourne Vixens home games, and partner discounts.
  • Wellbeing Support: Employee Assistance Program (EAP), annual flu vaccines, and a welcoming, inclusive culture.
