Pure Tennis Ferny Hills has the opportunity for an experienced Tennis Professional to join our coaching team.

The ideal applicant will have a love of teaching, have experience coaching young children from 3 years of age to teenagers & adults of varying skill levels & pride themselves on delivering programs that are the highlight of their students week.

You can work autonomously and in a team environment. You enjoy mentoring juniors at the start of their coaching career & take pride in providing a safe and inclusive environment for your pupils to learn in.

You will have the personality & skills required to drive a range of social & competitive adult programs in the evenings as well as deliver group & private coaching lessons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage our Hotshots Blue & Red Ball Programs, creating a fun and positive program for our youngest tennis players to get a great start to their tennis journey.
  • Mentor our junior coaches and manage standards and program delivery
  • Manage & coordinate our Matchplay programs and run a season "Finals Event" twice a year.
  • Deliver beginner, intermediate & advanced group lessons, squads & private lessons.
  • Deliver tennis & pickleball programs in your allocated local schools.
  • Manage and deliver adult programs including Social Tennis, Hitting Sessions & Adult beginner/intermediate coaching lessons.
  • Program & Deliver engaging Holiday programs for 5 - 12yr olds.
  • Communicate our development pathways & ensure all pupils have the opportunity to progress through these stages in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Development Level 1 or equivalent qualification (level 2 preferred)
  • 3+ years experience coaching modified tennis programs (Hotshots, Mini Tennis etc)
  • Drivers licence & Own Transport
  • First Aid Certificate (or intention to get one prior to commencement)
  • Working with Children Blue Card (or intention to get one prior to commencement)
  • Valid Australian work visa or permanent residency required
  • Fluent/Advanced English proficiency essential for effective communication with students and parents

Ideally we would like to start the successful applicant in a casual role in Term 2 with a full time role available at the start of Term 3 (13th July 2026). We would like the successful applicant to get to know our team and customer base so the club can make the transition of pupils from a long term coach to yourself as smooth as possible.
