About the Role
The Swinburne University Amateur Football Club (SUAFC) is seeking motivated and reliable Sports Trainers to support our playing group across the 2026 season.
In this role, you will assist with injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation, helping ensure player welfare and performance throughout the season.
Commitment:
- Minimum 2 hours on a weeknight (Monday–Thursday)
- 3-8 hours on Saturdays (match days)
- Flexible arrangements available to suit your availability
Season duration: March through to August/September (depending on finals participation)
Pay rate: $25 per hour
This position is ideally suited to students studying physiotherapy, sports science, or a related field who are looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in a real club environment.
You do not need to be a Swinburne student.
Skills & Requirements
- Level 1 Sports Trainer accreditation (required)
- Support can be provided to obtain this if needed
- Current First Aid qualification (preferred)
- Experience in sports training or a relevant field (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Driver’s licence and access to a car (highly desirable)

About the Club
SUAFC fields two men’s teams competing in the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA).
We train Tuesday to Thursday and play on Saturdays. The club prides itself on being inclusive, community-focused, and strongly connected to Swinburne students, offering both competitive football and a great social atmosphere.
