We are seeking an Assistant Head of Swimming who is passionate about athlete development and excited to help deliver a dynamic and high-quality swimming programme. Working closely with the Head of Swimming, this role will contribute to squad coaching, competition preparation and the continued growth of swimming at Shore.

A little bit about the role:

In this role you will help deliver outstanding coaching and athlete development across the Shore Swim Programme, supporting swimmers from participation through to competitive pathways. You will work with squad swimmers, contribute to training programmes and play a key role in preparing athletes for school and club competitions including AAGPS and IPSHA carnivals. 

You will also help foster a strong team culture, assist with coaching delivery across squads and contribute to a safe, positive and high-performing training environment.

To be successful, you will:

  • Hold current swimming coaching accreditation and be eligible for an Australian Swim Coach Licence
  • Have experience coaching competitive swimming squads and developing swimmers across different levels
  • Demonstrate strong communication and relationship-building skills with young athletes and colleagues
  • Be passionate about supporting the holistic development of school-aged athletes
  • Work collaboratively within a coaching team and contribute to a structured programme environment
