About the Role
The Membership Sales Team Lead is responsible for driving new membership growth and revenue for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs through high-performance sales leadership, structured acquisition strategy, and disciplined daily execution.
The role leads and develops the Membership Sales Officers, setting clear targets, driving accountability, and building a competitive, results-focused sales culture. With direct ownership of acquisition number and financial targets, the Sales Team Lead ensures the Club’s membership pipeline is consistently filled, actively managed, and converted.
Through strong campaign execution, premium product oversight, and best-practice prospect management, the role plays a critical part in growing the Bulldogs membership base and delivering sustainable year-on-year revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, motivate and develop Membership Sales Officers
- Set and communicate clear daily, weekly and campaign-based sales targets
- Drive accountability against membership acquisition and revenue targets
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching, call reviews and performance check-ins
- Foster a high-performance, competitive and team-oriented sales culture
2. Revenue & Target Accountability
- Own and deliver membership acquisition target (number and revenue)
- Accountable for financial outcomes across all acquisition campaigns
- Monitor and optimise conversion rates, yield per sale and cost per sale
- Identify pipeline gaps and implement corrective sales strategies
- Ensure campaign performance aligns with broader Club growth objectives
3. Sales Operations & Daily Execution
- Roster Sales staff to balance campaign priorities and inbound/outbound activity
- Build and communicate daily sales priorities and call objectives
- Oversee pipeline management to ensure consistent follow-up and conversion
- Manage phone system usage, call quality standards and reporting accuracy
- Drive disciplined activity tracking across all prospect lists
4. Training & Capability Development
- Lead onboarding and ongoing training for Sales Officers
- Develop scripts, objection-handling frameworks and best-practice sales processes
- Conduct regular call listening and feedback sessions
- Build individual and team sales capability to improve conversion rates
5. Prospect Management & Customer Journey
- Build and maintain a best-practice prospect management system
- Develop and manage a structured membership acquisition funnel
- Ensure accurate CRM usage and high data integrity standards
- Contribute to the membership continuum and broader customer journey framework
About You

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Proven sales experience within a call centre, membership or high-volume outbound sales environment
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and performance managing sales staff
- A strong track record of achieving and exceeding individual and team-based sales targets
- The ability to build rapport quickly and communicate with confidence across a broad member base
- Experience driving sales culture, accountability and daily activity standards
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret sales data, conversion metrics and campaign performance
- Excellent time management, organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce, Memberlink or similar) to manage prospect pipelines and reporting (preferred)
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and match days
