The Scots College is seeking a highly organized and values-driven leader for the position of Basketball – Head of Operations.
This is a critical leadership role responsible for the seamless execution, cultural health, and pastoral oversight of the College’s Basketball program (T–12) across all campuses. Working in close partnership with the Basketball - Head of Performance, you will ensure that the logistical, administrative, and behavioral standards of the program reflect the College’s vision, mission, and long-standing traditions of excellence.
Key Accountabilities
Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including budgeting, facility risk assessments, equipment inventory, and the coordination of transport and logistics for all teams.
Cultural & Pastoral Leadership: Foster a disciplined and values-based environment. You will lead student behavior management, uphold uniform and grooming standards, and represent the College on AAGPS judiciaries and committees.
Camps, Tours & Clinics: Lead the end-to-end planning and supervision of all Basketball Camps, international or domestic Tours, and Holiday Clinics, ensuring high standards of safety and student growth.
Staff Coordination: Provide mentorship and guidance to Age Managers and operational staff, ensuring all safety protocols, injury management, and first aid systems are rigorously maintained.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary operational link between the College and the parent community, the Basketball Support Group, and the AAGPS committee.
Fixtures & Logistics: In collaboration with the Senior School Sportsmaster, manage team registrations, weekly draws, and AAGPS compliance across all campuses.

Special Requirements
The nature of this position requires a significant presence outside of normal school hours. The appointee must be available for:
Saturday morning fixtures and mid-week training sessions.
On-site supervision of all Basketball Camps, Holiday Clinics, and Tours.
Participation in the full life of the College, including evening meetings and presentations.
