Logan Basketball Incorporated (LBI) is a not-for-profit sporting organisation founded in 1998. LBI as an Association has a focus of ensuring lasting benefits to the people of Logan City through providing excellence in Basketball and Venue Management. Logan Basketball delivers competitions and programs for all ages and skill levels.
Logan Basketball’s vision is to be recognised within the state and nationally by clients and stakeholders not only as a leader, but also as a valuable and credible provider of basketball and services in sport and recreation. Logan Basketball’s mission is to grow sustainable Basketball opportunities within the Logan region; with a focus on the positive outcomes sport can provide the community. The purpose of Logan Basketball is to provide leadership a framework throughout Logan that enables people to grow, develop and participate in Basketball and sport.
Logan Basketball’s Logan Thunder representative program is regarded as one of the leading representative pathways in Queensland, underpinned by a sustained record of success in team performance and player/coach development. Recent highlights include back-to-back Vince Hickey Shield winners in 2024 and 2025, as well as four State Championship’s won in 2025 by Thunder teams. The program also claimed the 2025 NBL1 North Women’s Championship and U14 Boys Basketball Australia Club National Championship.
In addition to on-court achievements, Logan Basketball has been recognised for organisational excellence, earning consecutive Basketball Queensland Association of the Year awards in 2024 and 2025.

The Opportunity:
We're looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Community and Development Coordinator to join our growing team. This role will either either part-time (20 hours/week) or full-time (38 hours/week) depending on the right candidate and sits at the heart of our basketball development and community engagement programs.
Reporting directly to the Basketball and Performance Manager, you'll be instrumental in delivering programs that connect people to basketball across all ages and abilities.
What You will Do:
Depending on your hours and experience, your responsibilities may include:
- Delivering morning player development sessions across the week
- Coordinating and running school programs and holiday programs
- Supporting the delivery of Thunderball and ThunderTOT’s program
- Supporting the delivery of Logan Basketball Community events
- Assisting with junior representative administration
- Driving female coach and player development initiatives
- Supporting social media content creation and marketing
Who We are Looking For:
- A genuine passion for basketball and community sport
- Experience in basketball coaching, development, or program delivery
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work flexibly, including some early mornings
- Blue Card (Working with Children) or willingness to obtain one
- Relevant qualifications in sport, education or recreation are a plus but passion and practical experience matter most to us
