Lead the next generation of Australian swimming talent

Swimming NSW, in partnership with the NSW Institute of Sport and Sydney Olympic Park Authority, is seeking an outstanding coach to lead the age group pathway within one of Australia's premier swimming programs.

Based at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, this role sits within Swimming Australia's National Hub network and is responsible for developing talented young athletes while preparing them for progression into the SOPAC High Performance Program.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a high-performance environment, influence the future of Australian swimming and help athletes reach their full potential.

About the role

As SOPAC Head Age Group Coach, you will:

  • Lead and inspire a nationally recognised age group program
  • Develop athletes through world-class coaching, planning and performance monitoring
  • Create pathways that support athlete progression into high-performance swimming
  • Work closely with the SOPAC Swimming Club, SOPAC Head Coach, NSWIS, Swimming NSW and key stakeholders
  • Mentor emerging coaches and contribute to performance pathway initiatives across NSW
  • Champion athlete wellbeing, safety and long-term development
  • Attend major domestic and international competitions as required

About you

You are an experienced and passionate swim coach with a proven track record of developing successful athletes and building high-performance cultures.

You will bring:

  • Swimming Australia Performance Coach accreditation (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated success in athlete development from age group through to high performance
  • Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience planning training programs, competition schedules and athlete development pathways
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to excellence
  • Current Working with Children Check, First Aid and CPR certification
