Vector Health is seeking an exceptional Head of Physiotherapy - a leader who knows how to build teams, inspire people, and elevate performance within a mission-driven organisation.
This role is ideal for a senior physiotherapist, lead clinician, or performance director with demonstrated experience in leading teams, managing people, motivating clinicians, and driving excellence across multi-site services.

You will guide a multi-site physiotherapy, exercise physiology and exercise science team across two locations, ensuring clinical quality, operational efficiency, and a thriving culture grounded in our mission, vision, and values.

What You’ll Lead
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of physiotherapists and mentor a senior exercise physiologist/exercise scientist across two sites.
- Lead a high-performance, patient-centred culture.
- Conduct structured supervision, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Develop competency pathways from graduate to senior levels.
- Model values-based leadership that inspires accountability and growth.
Clinical & Technical Governance
- Maintain physiotherapy standards across all services.
- Provide advanced case support for complex presentations.
- Lead audits, quality improvement, and outcome-tracking systems.
- Ensure documentation excellence and evidence-based practice.
Operational Management
- Coordinate service delivery across two locations.
- Manage caseload distribution, scheduling, and workflow optimisation.
- Ensure equipment readiness, safety, and compliance.
- Collaborate with Performance and Support teams.
Commercial & Strategic Leadership
- Drive physiotherapy revenue, productivity, and service growth.
- Develop new programs, referral pathways, and partnerships.
- Contribute to strategic planning and service expansion.
- Represent Vector Health externally with professionalism and impact.
Caseload Expectations
Your primary focus is leadership, governance, and performance - not a full clinical caseload. The caseload you work with will be driven towards your specific area of interest.
What You Bring
- Bachelor or Masters in Physiotherapy
- AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing people
- Proven ability to motivate clinicians and lift performance
- Strong time-management and coordination skills
- Experience in clinical governance, service development, or commercial performance
- Experience across multiple sites (preferred)
- Postgraduate qualifications in musculoskeletal, sports, leadership, or governance (highly regarded)
- An ability to have tough conversations
Contract & Salary
- 2-year fixed-term contract
- Salary from $135K + super. This is dependent on experience and demonstrated success in similar roles.
- Full-time (This is not a Part-Time Role).
