Description

Overview

NSW Athletics is the state governing body for athletics in New South Wales, delivering a unified and fully integrated athletics system across community participation, school sport, competition, and performance pathways. Formed through a partnership between Athletics NSW (ANSW) and Little Athletics NSW (LANSW), NSW Athletics now delivers the first single, unified athletics offering in NSW in over 60 years, providing more than 50,000 registered members and participants access to a connected and high-quality athletics experience across more than 220 affiliated clubs and centres statewide.

NSW Athletics is currently experiencing a period of strong growth and momentum, driven by increased participation, expanded competition pathways, and a shared commitment to placing athletes, participants, and clubs at the centre of everything we do. Our integrated operating model brings together four key Functional Areas; Corporate Services, Community, Sport Delivery, and Performance & Pathways, working as one organisation with clear accountability and a consistent member experience across the state.

In addition, NSW Schools Athletics forms a key pillar of the NSW Athletics model, strengthening the connection between school sport and community athletics. Through partnerships with schools, teachers and education stakeholders, NSW Schools Athletics supports participation opportunities for more than one million students annually while helping create clearer pathways into clubs, competitions and lifelong involvement in the sport.
